These boards are just what I needed for my 2002 GMC Sierra 1500. I've been thinking for a long time about putting running boards on and finally bought these ones. Having never installed running boards before, I naturally went to YouTube and found a video of a guy putting them on a truck similar to mine. According to him, he had a horrible time getting the frame mount bolts out to install the brackets. He also said that you need a 13/16 socket for those bolts. In my case, he was wrong on both points. My bolts took a 18mm socket, and they removed easily. But anyway, these running boards installed very easily. It probably took 30 minutes per side, and I was working by myself in my driveway. Easily done by one person. Everything lined up how they were supposed to, and it was just a simple job. They are nice and sturdy. The boards are light but sturdy since they're made out of aluminum. Easy to adjust before tightening everything down. I think they make the truck look really nice. This makes it much easier for my wife and I to get in and out. No more having to jump down to the ground and risk twisting an ankle. Tools needed...metric sockets, ratchet and a breaker bar (unless your a gorilla) to loosen body to frame bolts. Instructions were easy to follow.they don't rust and hold up pretty well for the moneyI wanted this type of running board from the dealer but was they were very expensive for them to put them on my truck. Fast forward a few years and now I have the same look and for a very reasonable price. They don't slip when I have on sandals or boots and so much easier on my old joints to get in the truck now.Exelent I like , easy to install, thanksEasy install. Sturdy. Goog buy.Straight forward install not flimsy like running boards that mount on the rockers.Nice. Other individuals asked me where I purchased them. They were more than I was anticipating. Definitely worth the money. My mechanic was impressed.
