Nice, strong and reliableI ordered the 5" Black running boards and installed them on a 2017 F-250 Crew Cab. I wish I'd ordered the 6" boards now but I wasn't sure. These will do nicely but the larger boards would probably be more appropriate for a full-size truck like this. The running boards arrived in good condition and all parts were in the package. They were fairly well protected and wrapped well in plastic.Install on this truck is very easy. There are 3 sets of threaded studs on the underside of both sides of the truck. The mounting brackets fit perfectly over the various sets of threaded studs. It's just a matter of putting on the vinyl insulating washing, placing the bracket on a set of studs, placing a flat washer on the stud and threading the nylon lock-nut in place. No need to really worry about exact placement of the brackets (they have a slot that allows about 1/2" of front/rear movement...I slid them all to one side) just put them on and tighten them down.Place the T-bolts in the slots on the underside of the boards and line them up with the installed brackets. Put the washers and nuts on, center and position the board where you want it and tighten the nuts. Done.If you can turn a wrench you can install these running boards yourself...at least on this particular truck. These boards look good and they're functional. The stock tires that came on my truck shed small rocks like crazy (and I live on a gravel road) so I'm hoping these will not only make it easier to get into/out of the truck but it will protect the finish from rocks, gravel and other debris thrown up by the tires. The price is fantastic. Now it's just a matter of waiting to see how these boards hold up to long-term use.***UPDATE***I've had these boards installed on the truck for a little over 6 months now. The only issue I've noticed is some finish wear on the driver side on the edge. The finish is wearing off right on the sharp edge in a line about 6" long. It must be the high traffic area where I place my foot to get in/out of the truck.Other than that these have been trouble free. They're still nice and tight, no rattles, no loose parts.I'm still very happy with these running boards.I took delivery of a 2020 F-150 a week ago. The truck did not come from the manufacturer with running boards, and even the salesman advised me to shop (as opposed to the dealer installing them) because he knew I'd find a better price. And after a few days of using the truck without them and having to pull myself and my short legs into the cab, this became a necessity. These iBoard boards are the 5-inch model. They have a very nice design and look really great on the vehicle. The price for these boards is also very reasonable. The best part was the ease of installation. The boards come with six mounting posts that fit perfectly on the F-150 underside mount points. iBoard provides plastic washers to attach between the mounting posts and the vehicle wall, a nice touch to prevent any corrosion. Once you get the three posts mounted snugly, installing the boards is just a matter of sliding bolts into the tracks on the bottom side of the board and lining them up with the mount points on the posts. Tighten everything down, and you're done. The entire installation, both sides, took about an hour.Since they've only been on for a day, the real test will be long-term for the sturdiness of the running boards. I don't have any doubts that these well-made additions will last a very long time. One other thumbs-up to iBoard for their product packing. Everything came in a single box and was about as well-protected as one could imagine. I don't think an explosion could have done any damage to the materials they used.Big thumbs up all around.I bought these iBoard aluminum (AL) running boards for my new 2017 Ford F-150 XLT Crew cab. I figured that they will be subjected to a lot of road debris and salt so the AL boards might last longer than steel. Be sure to count and inspect all the parts when you receive them. I didn't look at the boards themselves outside of the plastic wrap and later found a shallow dent on one side of one of the boards; too shallow to request a replacement. I mounted that side inboard so it can't be seen. The mounting brackets are heavy welded steel items with a black powder coat/primer. Since they will be subjected to a lot of abuse, I added another two coats of automotive primer and then two coats of high gloss black enamel for easy cleaning. The added painting added several days to the install because of dry and recoat times. The instructions say to wax the boards after they are installed. For easy application, I waxed them before installing with a high quality automotive paste wax. I installed all the brackets completely before installing the boards. The brackets require a 13mm wrench and the boards need a 10mm wrench. A power tool helps a lot since the lock nuts go on with a lot of effort. I also used Loctite on all the nuts to help ensure they don't come loose. Boards mounted easily on the brackets and didn't need to be leveled. The instructions say to level them; there is no means provided or instructions on how to do that. Oh, yes, the AL product label under each end of the boards do not stick too well. They will likely come off with use. I did not take any before/after photos; there are plenty of those on YouTube. Watch the installation videos on YouTube; they are very helpful. As I said, these are fantastic, sleek looking running boards. I hope they perform over time as well as they look new. If not, I will update this review.Very disappointed in this product. Installed them in November 2018 and noticed when I was hand washing my truck this summer that the paint was already peeling off them. I'm sure that after this coming winder, they will be rusting too. Of course, the manufacturers warranty is 6 months, not good to me. Attached pictures were taken in July 2019. This is the back of the running board, so it's not a rock chip.Save your money. Don't buy this junk.Easy install on my 2016 F150 Super crew and looks great !!Will update later when I have got some use out of them.Update 06/20/19No issues, quality product. Would highly recommend.Update 03/01/20I guess I should have waited longer before my first update. Because now the paint is chipping/flanking off exactly where I get in and out of drivers side. Either the paint or the prep of surface proves to not be very durable. I will need to do periodic touch ups now. And this is from normal use, and I baby my vehicles. So I will down grade my original review of the product to satisfactory after just 1 year of use. This product is Fantastic!! For me It was either get good sturdy Running boards or buy a fork lift to get my mother in law into my F150 Ford!!I thought they may be hard to install or be of a lower quality, However they Exeeded every expectation. I would highly recommend them to everyone!! Thank you very muchCasey LoweHighly recommended. High quality product with only one third of Ford stock running board. Looks awesome on my new F150. Installation is very straightforward. I sprayed all the brackets with undercoating and applied grease on the nuts just to add extra protection against rust.Perfect fit brackets for my 2019 F150 Supercrew.
