Running boards are well made, good finish and looks all around. I ordered the 5 inch width because I didn’t want a lot of overhang on the side of my truck.Instructions are fairly clear. This was my first time installing running boards. The part of the installation that was not immediately clear was finding the threaded holes under the truck where the brackets are screwed into. Look for the plastic caps that are installed into the holes for protection. There are two holes per bracket. One that will face the ground and one opposite side of the doors. Make sure you only pull out the ones you intend to use that are aligned with one another. You’ll see what I mean once you get under your truck. There are several holes spaced underneath the cabin for this installation. My suggestion would be placing the brackets where the rubber faces would be between brackets. The two outer brackets were installed at the furthest points possible for even weight distribution as well.This will be a two man job. My 17 year old son and I knocked out the installation in a little over an hour. You’ll need a flat head screw driver, 13MM wrench and 13MM socket, and a ratchet with a medium extension.We raised the truck and secured it. Thin guys could probably skip jacking the truck up.Attach the brackets onto the running boards first. Pay attention to the rubber liners on the stepping surfaces as there is some tapered edges you want to install the same way for aesthetics. Do not tighten the brackets onto the running boards yet. Leave everything finger tight for adjustment later.We pulled the caps off under the truck from the hole locations we would use.Next we placed running boards assemblies onto the truck, installed screws thru the brackets and tightened the brackets onto the truck. Remember the screws on brackets into running boards should still be finger tight. Slide running boards along the length of your truck to desired position. Now tighten the screws that go into the running boards.One suggestion about this product is maybe improve the packaging a little bit. Luckily running boards arrived un-damaged. Perhaps manufacturer could add some layers of protection to the actual rails in box.Hope you find this helpful.Item easy to install. Clear instructions. But there is a misalignment issue. Driver side matches body lines but pass side is forward almost touching mud guard.
